About Tavionea
Why I built Tavionea
I built Tavionea around one idea. An anagram solver should load fast, show clean results, and keep your letters private. The site has a single main tool, the Anagram Solver, and I keep everything else short and useful.
What the tool does
The solver accepts up to 20 characters. Three of them can be question marks for blank tiles. It checks your letters against 267,751 English words and lists every match. You can narrow the list by length, first letter, last letter, and more. Each word also shows its Scrabble tile value.
How I tested it
I test the solver against results I can check by hand. Take the word listen. Its six letters can line up in 720 ways. In exact mode, the solver returns seven real words, including silent, enlist, and tinsel. I also test wildcards. A search for ret?ins in All words mode returns 1,947 words. I repeat these checks after every change to the code.
Where the word list comes from
The list follows Collins Scrabble Words and holds 267,751 entries from 2 to 15 letters. I use the entries as published and do not edit them by hand. They come from an older Collins edition, so a few newer words are missing. Some words may also differ from the list your game uses. The dictionary notes and the Disclaimer explain the gaps.
Who runs the site
I run Tavionea myself, and the site is independent. It has no link to Scrabble, Words With Friends, or Wordfeud. I read every message that arrives through the contact page. My Editorial Policy shows how I write and check each page.
What you can count on
I make these promises to every visitor.
- No paid reviews, sponsored rankings, or fake testimonials.
- No invented credentials or made-up statistics.
- A clear update date on every page.
- A fix for every confirmed mistake.
The site shows no ads today. If that changes, I will tell you first and update the policies before any ad goes live.
